Crockatt & Powell in the news

A mention in the Guardian for Crockatt & Powell over the weekend (Friday? Saturday?): did I imagine it?

Maybe it was Crockett & Tubbs you saw?

Just kidding: here it is - http://books.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1842539,00.html

That doesn't fit in on my screen. Here's a clickable link instead.

I went in that C&P last week. Knew Marie wouldn't be there, but wanted to see the place. Walked there as well, all the way from Euston. Not recommended (the walk). The bookshop was all right.

Bloody hell, it's a long way from Euston. I hope you sat down in the comfy chair to recover.

Marie, it was mainly the chafing that blighted the walk, truly, and I was almost crawling by the time we got back to the-pub-we-always-end-up-in (and our favourite bar-person wasn't working, either). If I'd sat in the C&P comfy chair, I'd never have got up again. It's taken me a week to recover from the chafing.

I dropped in last week with my novelist mate, had a good chat with Matthew and between us persuaded NM to buy a copy of The People's Act of Love. She hasn't told me what she thinks of it yet...

Comfy chair is very comfy. And Remainder is very good so far.
