I love a good site redesign

It's so hard to get the balance of typeface and images right when designing a site. A knowledge of html or similar can help, but it won't solve all problems. Blogger itself isn't without its flaws (!) and sometimes even big institutions get it horribly wrong. (Am sure we can all list examples of "should know better" rubbish web-design!)

All that is by way of saying that this much-visited site has had a front-page redesign.

Neat.

Am I correct in saying that ITV's Primaeval (which I just read about via your link) sounds like Dr Who crossed with Jurassic Park? At least they're trying something more adventurous than Des and Mel. Any idea idea if it'll be any good?

ARGH!!!! I know many people will be tearing their hair at the Doctor Who analogy.

It's the source of much comment at the Douglas Henshall site and in truth will dog the production and reception of Primaevel however much those involved try and steer comments away from the link. For what it's worth, I too am just glad there may be something on ITV1 worth watching ('cos whatever it turns out like I will be watching). And if it happens to have been made possible by the return of Doctor Who then I'm equally thrilled (ooh, it's like someone actually knows who I want to watch on my TV!) But I'm no great fan of the Jurassic Park films.

Still, from everything I've read about the show so far it has a lot of potential and I'm particularly thrilled at the positive words being said about DH (who is so underrated it's enough to make a girl weep). It's around a decade since he started crossing a larger radar of public attention, with a steady stream of admirers hoping he'll finally get the wider recognition he deserves. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the work that does it. I just hope it lives up to our expectations and to Dougie's talents.
