Quote for the Day: Finish the day

Cannot believe I have not used this quote before:
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
Couldn't help myself. We all need a bit of Emerson in our lives.

He also wrote: "Good men must not obey the laws too well."

Shokin', shokin'; I feel a diatribe coming on, I must go and lie down.

there's a quote from Alasdair Gray's Lanark in the plagiarism section saying that Ralph Waldo Emerson has not been plagiarised in the book.

So there.
