Curtis 25 years on

Much ink spilled in recent weeks over Ian Curtis and the 25th anniversary of his death today. Radio 6 is fair clearing its schedules. Hard to know how to feel about the 'commemorations', but this remains a potent track.

Is my timing that flawed?

Never. But the line continues to consider "our respect run so dry?" Blooming GG's party gets everywhere...

Who was Ian Curtis? And, no, it's not a wind up, I've never heard of him, and I am insatiably curious.

The links may give some clues. Ian Curtis was the lead singer of Joy Division, writer and singer of the track "Love will tear us apart" that was massacred by Paul Young.

Oh, I knew I shouldn't have asked!

And I've decided not to enquire as to who Paul Young is, or was.

And I am ruthlessly crushing any thought of asking whether his massacre of the song was, in the words of Sellars and Yeatman, A Good Thing, or A Bad Thing.
