BFI difficulties

A rotten state of affairs.

A lover of archives - and ephemera - the prospect of these facilities being lost and scattered to the four winds of various libraries resource centres [and we know how reliable they are at keeping hold of archival stuff] isn't that reassuring.

The BFI Library at Stephen Street is cool; small (I assumed it would be a lofty hall or something) but great.

I'm sure Lisa would have much more information about this - but I am worried about the BFI's attempt to be 'cool' with the Mediatheque stuff, especially if the academic parts will suffer... The decay of our cultural history is amnesia through laziness. Shouldn't happen.
