As expected - and thankfully as also reported here - the meeting with JJ and Reidski was every bit as brilliant as we hoped. The pub was fab, the food was great (and cheap, cheap, cheap!) and the company and conversation sublime.
JJ is a darling, Reidski is utterly charming, and as a couple they are just the most in-love pairing seen in a long while.
What a fab way to spend a Saturday night! It proper made up for there being no Doctor Who...

"Reidski is utterly charming" - hoots of laughter from everyone who knows me!!
But, yes, a very fabby way to spend a Saturday night!
As someone who goes into Auton mode at the mention of the all new Doctor Who I may have missed previous mention of this but are you aware that on Weds. BBC2 are showing Jude. Apparently the latest two Docs, whoever they are ;), meet in a tavern.
Ha ha. Yes I was aware of that link between Eccles-cake (TM MediumRob) and le Tennant.
Jude though: god, what a thoroughly depressing book/film. Not exactly an uplifting experience... apologies to Hardy fans out there but he can make Leonard Cohen look like a feast of humour! (Of course, LC IS a feast of humour but I do accept that some do not share my view). Anyway, I may well set the video...
Are you an anti-NewWho-ite then?
Yes I'm the one.I thought the first Eccles episode was promising but soon got bored with it, sorry! I get over exposed to Buffy, Who,Housewives(Desperate and Footballers) and Kylie by my friend Bill so it's a bit of a reflex action too.
Well, he did charm the pants of me...in a manner of speaking!
Thanks again for a really great night out.
Couldn't possibly have been Reidski. How much did he have to drink?
