On the edge of indefinites

Last night heard this classic quote from John Pinard as Radio 5 Live awaited news on David Blunkett:

"We're on the verge of a brink of a statement being nearly imminent."

Now that's what I call uncertainty!

[Note: just spell-checked this post and was confused by the options "pioneered" and "blankets" - then realised that's what comes up for Pinard and Blunkett...
