Hak Mao provided today's big laugh with this little snippet. Apparently, Nottingham is in the North of England, which is certain to disappoint some of the southern nobs to the south of the city, but only confirms my beliefs about the overall cultural/social/political yen of the area.
However, Midlands anyone...?

What puts Nottingham "culturally" on the North side of the North/South divide is that people say Boos Pass instead of Bus Parse (that's Bus Pass in written English). Even the posh folk in Edwalton don't say Parth and Barth, unless they are putting on airs and graces.
