the thing is that I *really* like those shoes. I've had them for about 3 years now and I will keep getting them repaired as long as they look vaguely decent, and possibly beyond. They're R.M.Williams Simpson Dress boots and I think they're comfortable and smart and generally all-round great. I could pop down to their London store and order another pair to be shipped in from Australia, but I just don't want to yet. If I have to clippety-cloppety about the place for a bit, and if I have to get them re-soled from time to time, then so be it.
Actually, thinking about it, I should probably buy a new pair of running shoes though.
God, is this what my (blogging) life has become? Me telling everyone about my shoe issues?
Tomorrow: my quest for a pair of really comfortable pants.
