Life, the universe and beyond

Work's overloaded.

Cat is poorly.

A New Doctor in 2010.

I want to be excited about the last one, but in the context of my current week I only feel melancholy.

So long, it's been good to know you...

Wait a minute - new Doctor? The new season is due to start here in a few weeks - still haven't heard who the companion will be, guess I better head over to the couch.

OOps, sorry Joe I should really have spoiler posted that... but really, its been so hard to avoid speculation about what happens after the specials...

Sorry again.

It's difficult not to be torn. Saying "ciao!" to probably the best Doctor of them all, while curious as to who they'll get to replace him. I feel sorry for the guy who steps into the shoes next... How is he going to live up to the standard D.T. set?

HI Pixie
Thing is that we felt exactly the same way about someone taking over from Ecclescake before we knew, and even then I think there was some trepidation - given HOW successful s1 was - about Tennant taking it on.

This has, to some extent, always dogged the show -- the sad thing is now we can't get away without spoilers -- knowing the regeneration is coming rather than being shocked by it.

*sigh* those were the days...

I know I'd have loved it to be a surprise. Hey ho.Nonny nonny no. At least we get a year to get used to it. D'ya think Dougie Henshall would be keen to take it on????

Btw can't post on your Hallelujah blog but oh dear god that version is FABULOUS. Have to fess up that I'd never heard this song till Rufus Wainwright's version in Shrek, but Jeremy Vine did a very funny Battle of the Hallelujahs a few years ago when he played five versions and got listeners to vote their favourite. I think Jeff wotsit won.
