New Layout - new year
If Cloud can have something new as his backdrop, so can I. Of course he got there first so he gets the spiffy books background (sniff!) but this will be a nice stop-gap.

Following blogs
I have Bloglines as my main RSS feed and alert to blogs - though I'm erratic at best regarding who is on it and who gets read on their actual blog - but this new-fangled Blog Followers thing is now fuddling me.
How do I add myself as a follower? And can I only do this for those who have moved to the new template thingie? It's all baffling.

Blogger updated template
Does anyone know how to rid Blogger of the hammer and sickle 'being edited' symbols AKA the screwdriver and spanner symbols?
Or are they now a permanent feature? Cos it makes it look like my page is never quite fully ready for readers...
Anyway, the pages now have the shiny new gadget of an in action blogroll. If you post, a taster will appear here. I've not added everyone to the list at present so if you're not on there and you're updating, let me know. Likewise if you want to come off my list, then do so!
I'm also not sure about the followers business? What's that about?!

Semi-German
Is this resolved?
It appears so: thanks to Richard commenting on Hermes blog, it appears the way to 'correct' the semi-German post-blogpost screen is to select 'English-English' rather than English-UK on the dashboard settings.
Yes, it would have been nice if Blogger had corrected this themselves but since it was just annoying the heck out of me I've done the deed myself...

Blogger does not now save draft posts and I don't care WHAT it says
The button says "Save Now".
Would you anticipate that in hitting it you can save the draft post, as per the previous option to "save as draft"?
Don't be so fucking stupid.
BetaBollux as usual.

Random Re-labellings
Apologies for bloglines or other site-feeding folks: I'm doing some re-labelling of past posts. It may feel a little odd.

George and his Munros
Ah, bless. A nice thing about new blogger adding tags and such is that you get reminders of old posts. They come up all fresh, like new laundry.
So, if you haven't already been and you want to know where it all started for George and his munro climbingobsession keen interest, then check out G's first munro.
And then take some very entertaining trips along with him to several of his other early climbs.
As you would expect, there's the usual entertaining prose, and some early photography (even if it is sometimes misty, as here!).

Belated links to George
Not sure WHAT was going on with my ability to keep up with blogs since I could have sworn I had been dropping by to check updates as well as having bloglines. So how come THIS post with oodles of FABULOUS Porto pics from George only just hit my radar...?
Was I losing my marbles? (No answers people, I can write my own jokes).
Wait, hang on... what's that next post...? "Bad Edit"? Seems it WASN'T me but rather that it had taken around a month for Blogger to allow him to update the blog having started the Porto post some time ago... Mind, it is SO jam-packed with LOVELY pics and YouTube videos... maybe Blogger got tired and emotional over all the port...?
Anyway, reading through G's posts you can also admire some very fine shelving (employment from this way beckons) and - of course - the promise of some very fine Munro shots from the 101st trek...

I appear to have finally moved to new Blogger!
It was a bit of a nail-biting experience as the battle between my dodgy NThell connection and Rullsenberg being a large blog took place before my eyes.
But now it appears I am here and fully taggable.
Well, that's... nice ... I guess...
At least I can stop feeling annoyed at Blogger saying I'm too big for my own blog.
