I just bought the best of ELO, and I change my position. I like some ELO songs. Some are absolutely woeful... but on Telephone Line Lynne actually approaches something resembling a genuine feeling, which is good to see...
Its a guilty secret many of us share. Although I'm old enough to remember their Roll Over Beethoven I was at the optimum age (16) when Out of the Blue came out to get caught up in the hype.I still quite like it, but really prefer A New World Record. I must keep an eye out for the CD in the sales. Mind you, I wasn't too impressed with the follow-up - the one with Horace Wimp on it.
