How sweet! I've been teaching since 2002, and I haven't received flowers. I've received apples, cookies, and a mug (all of which were given on exam days - which I do not find a coincidence)... but no flowers. They're lovely.
Just my job really - nothing more than I would do for any student, but I did enjoy working with them and it was a pleasure to see them blossom and succeed. (They'd just been offered a job as well, and not yet finished their course - so even more celebration)
